Do you carry backup equipment?

Yes, on every event. An iPad Air M5 carries the same library as the primary MacBook Air M5, a Pioneer DDJ-FLX4 backup controller travels with the rig, and spare power and signal runs come with it. Front of house sits on an uninterrupted power supply, so a tripped breaker does not stop the music mid-song. Switchover takes under 90 seconds.

Are you insured for St. Louis venues?

Yes. Gateway DJs is fully insured for professional venue compliance. Send the venue's legal name and mailing address and a certificate of insurance naming them will be issued, normally within one business day.

How long does setup take, and is it billed?

Standard load-in and sound check runs 60 to 90 minutes. A ceremony and reception build takes about two hours. Setup and teardown are not billed as event hours; coverage begins when the music starts.

What do you need from the venue?

An 8 by 6 foot area out of service traffic, two dedicated 15 amp circuits on separate breakers, and level access from a loading point within about 150 feet. No table is required; the booth is a freestanding Odyssey fold-out stand. A full written technical rider is available to download.

How do the retainer and cancellation terms work?

A 50% retainer confirms the booking and removes the date from the calendar. The balance is due 14 days before the event. If you cancel more than 30 days before the event, the retainer is forfeited and nothing further is owed. Inside 30 days the retainer is forfeited and the remaining balance falls due, because the date can no longer reasonably be resold. If the date moves, the retainer transfers once to a new date within 12 months, subject to availability.

Do you travel outside Missouri?

Yes. There is no travel fee within 30 miles of Florissant. Events between 30 and 100 miles add a flat travel charge. Out-of-state and destination events are quoted individually and include either freight for the rig or an equivalent local package, confirmed in writing before the retainer is paid.
